We know that it’s only a matter of time before digital currency becomes real. Progressivists want it to happen sooner. You have been getting pushback for years because we live in a cash society.
It does make sense for the government to want to put everything on the books – so they can take a percentage of everything. But you most likely have some dirty politicians who like cash and get support from people with cash only businesses also, making for a stalemate.
Bitcoin is the new craze. Should you buy or not?
Stock and currency speculation isn’t my area of expertise, but you have guys like Jordan Belfort who have seen many pump-and-dump scenes in their time, clamoring that it’s a very similar situation and the money flooding in is puffed up.
Regardless, digital currency will happen. It’s a matter of when. The real question we should be asking is whether bitcoin will be the leader when that happens.
I don’t think so.
I think that the major banks – Chase, Bank of America, Citi, and Wells Fargo will have a play on something and major corporations like Google and Apple will try to get in on it.
Apple has been trying for years with Apple Pay and Google has been trying with Google Wallet. But whoever controls the currency itself will be the winner, collecting even a fraction of a penny off of every transaction.
How do you claim ownership over it without being a monopoly…that’s the tricky part…but you’ll see some savvy people figure something out.
The key takeaway is that Blockchain is the thing to be looking at – this is the technology that gives cryptocurrency power. Keep your eyes open though before you invest all your savings in this stuff.
