So for me. Nothing is more important than first figuring out the game of life.

Because if you don’t know the rules of the game, then how can you be any good at it?

You’re just taking a chance otherwise. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to roll the dice and just hope it comes together. Especially if there is an afterlife and this is just a temporary test, than you better figure out what the heck is going on and make sure you’re going to end up on the right side of things.

Is the point of life to achieve success? I think it’s much deeper and more complicated than that. First, what is success? I’ve given the definition before that it’s the magnitude of the beneficial footprint you leave on society. Sounds nice, but what exactly does that mean.

I think the game of life comes down to having pure intentions, actions, and thoughts. Yes, thoughts. Nothing sits behind closed doors forever. Everything is open to G-d and the universe.

The key to life comes down to love. Unconditional love is what we were made for. But not fake love. Not just helping people with what seem like good actions while the heart is impure. I think it’s better to try to sort out your conflicts and impure thoughts behind closed doors alone, and try to transform them alone, than to help people in a fake disingenuous way.

Can you rip out the jealousy, envy, lust, greed, and hatred within? Not only will your life be better here, but you’ll be moving closer to what you were made for and setting yourself up for what’s to come.

Boundless love. Boundless mercy. Righteousness in spite of a world trying to pull you into short term pleasure at the expense of the long term prize.

This is the game of life. Are you passing or failing that test?
